Press Release: 2nd Insane Entry Award
For Immediate Release
June 3, 2011
Jupiter, FL – For the second event in a row, Conrad Grunewald’s backwards entry skills have earned him the Retaks Insane Entry Award. At Atlanta only Grunewald and a few other drivers were attempting backwards entries, but here in Florida it seems like everyone tried it at least once. Grunewald wasn’t fazed though, and when he laid down his second qualifying run Formula DRIFT announcer Jarod DeAnda seemed fairly certain he had just witnessed the winning run. Well, Jarod was right.

Conrad won the Retaks Insane Entry Award twice in a row, and here’s how he did it!
Road Atlanta, without a doubt my favorite track on the FD calendar. High speed entry, technical infield, and elevation make this course very fun to drive. We came prepared this weekend to do big things. Our setup was pretty good from last season but be had a few improvements to help out with some big angle on the entry of the first turn.
